All About Isabella
My name is Isabella Murphy. Call me Isa, most of my friends do, and since this blog is made up of conversations, I hope you will too. I’m a happy little twentysomething living in Springfield, Missouri. I have an afro. I call it The Borg, or Puffs when I’m bored. Resistance is futile, and my afro seems to gobble up so much space. I love it though, it’s my unique little thing. I’m no gangster though, I’ll leave that to people who have something to prove. And just so I don’t have to spend time on other pages, yes, I am indeed black. No need to spam me with “where are all the black female internet marketers”, because you’re speaking to one. We hide pretty well, because we’re so concerned with, oh, I don’t know…making money that standing up for the tired-old “where are the [insert flavor buzz of the moment] at” posts get old. Fast. I opted out of the proving-my-race-to-others niche a while ago.
I write for a living, blog for pleasure/profit and generally terrorize the Internet with such concepts as “staying paid around the clock” and “leverage” and a bunch of other nasty things people don’t want to hear, like “hard work” and “determination” and “tuning out toxic people that will perpetually stay broke/miserable/nasty their entire lives.” Yes, I’m opinionated, and this blog is full of opinions.
I used to work for a rather large mobile carrier; I don’t anymore. Even now, my opinions here do not reflect on my previous employers, though I bet sometimes my former employers wish they had this internet business game know-how. Some do, some don’t.
I like social media, even though I’m late to the party.
I love technology, marketing, copywriting. I got into this internet business game writing articles for a $1 a piece. I charge far more than that now. It’s a good thing, though the best times of my life were during those $1 times.
I’m not a guru. I don’t need to be to make good money online, and I find plenty of people who need a good writer. This blog has good writing. This blog has terrible writing. This blog has original writing though, and a large number of blogs are spammy as all get out, so embrace originality while you can.
I was going to write this all 3rd person style, so that companies viewing these pages can ooh and ahh at a person who sounds highly technical, using $5 words like machetes. My goal isn’t to cut you. My goal is to cut through the apathy, doubt, and misery thrown at you at a daily basis.
This isn’t Staying Charitable. I give free content, but lots of links here are affiliate links. In a nutshell, this means if you go through one of my resource links and purchase something, the seller pays me money for referring you. If you have an issue with this, take it up with someone who cares, or start cutting me checks personally. It’s a free blog, take the insight, the ups and the downs and run with them.
I like articles. I like video. I like links. I like pictures. It’s all going to be here. This will be one of the best resources for making money online, but it’ll take some time, just like everything else. I want to put a lot of content in these pages so you’ll come back, maybe even recommend me as a no-nonsense, get the job done, passionate copywriter. My biggest goal is to be Gary Bencivenga, the girl version with a super cool 365-days-a-year tan.
I dream big. Live anywhere, work anytime, play everywhere. That’s what I’m after, and as I get a hold of that dream, it’s going here.
